First, check what your tiles are made of. Porcelain is a tougher material to drill through and both ceramic and porcelain tiles require specialist drill bits.
Place masking tape over the area you need to drill. This will provide some tension to prevent the drill bit from slipping across the surface. You can also use a drill guide to increase accuracy.
Set your drill to its slowest speed. Use a masonry drill bit the same size as the rawlplug and slowly drill a hole through the tile. Once you’ve gone through the initial layer, you can gently increase the speed and pressure as needed until you hit the wall surface. Always be sure to stop drilling as soon as you feel the wall surface.
